With my background in languages, I have always been interested in translation. I took courses in academic and literary translation from German to English while studying at Harvard and in Munich.
As editor of the Chinese-English bilingual art magazine a.m. post, I was responsible for translating a large volume of feature articles on the Hong Kong and Taiwan art scenes between Chinese and English for every bi-monthly issue.
Since early 2015, I have been working on a freelance basis with various translation agencies in Hong Kong, doing mainly Chinese to English and at times also German to English translation. I have taken various ad hoc translation projects from German companies wishing to translate their corporate or marketing materials for English-speaking clients and audiences.
I also have a deep interest in literary translation and would welcome any and all opportunities to translate the work of emerging writers writing in Chinese and German.
